Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme was set up in 1992 in partnership with Bolton Council and Irwell Valley Housing with one house in Daubhill. They provide an opportunity for young people who are homeless to be safe, stable and develop skills for independence.
BYPHS delivers a range of services that include accommodation, support, advice and guidance with 2 aims:
1) Preventing homelessness
2) Increasing independent living skills
In doing so they see improvements in health and well-being, reduction in risk of harm, improvements in finances, increase in self-confidence, reduction in use of drugs or alcohol amongst other things.
